From the start of this project, I had it in mind that I would partner up with people and their businesses to create something special that we all can look back on fondly, with great memories and great products. Working with creative minds collaboratively, and making designs which will then be printed onto patches, to be worn proudly for all the world to see. Below you will find an assortment of UNIONS to date. Enjoy!!
PUB26 PATCH
Our first UNION, and I couldn’t be more happy. The fine folks who hold the keys to the Pub26 holy grail have granted me exclusive privileges for this very special collab. Released with the FIRST STRIKE, this limited patch was a hit with those who know! When you see those 🌲🌲’s, you know the shit is for real.
A very special collab made with @StadinPanimo Brewery in Helsinki. What started out as a walk through their facilities soon formed into what you see above. Two very unique patches, available for purchase ONLY from Stadin Panimo, located next to #SaveSuvilahtiDIY skatepark!! What was really cool about this partnership was that I was also able to put in my input of flavorings towards the MATCHSTICK UNION x Stadin Panimo BEER and design the beer label!! ✍

A very special collab made with @Jagermeister / Beverage Partners Finland. What started as me reaching out for some party supplies turned quickly and excitedly into what you see here! A unique run of interchangeable patches on the FIRESTARTER Corduroy Cap, in Jäger Green, to keep with the Jägermeister theme. For this special UNION I combined the classic Jäger deer with my matches and the classic Spelled version ✍. Keep a lookout around your favorite bars in Finland and see if you can spot these in the wild!

A very dear collaboration made with the good people over at @PabloFilms! I had done an internship with Pablo Films in early 2020 and have kept in touch with them ever since. A staple in the production industry in Europe, with impeccable taste for quality, start to finish.
RASEBORGS FERMENTERI
Pictured here is the latest UNION with my friends over at @raseborgsfermenteri 💦 My friend Chia had approached me about a joint effort to make a Matchstick Union hot sauce, and of course I had to do it! Being from the desert myself, it only seemed appropriate, and it turned out so much better than I’d thought! A strawberry 🍓 base with Carolina Reaper peppers, this bad boy will be sure to remind you of your indulgences for days to come! I’d never before heard of a strawberry hot sauce, but those berries can KICK!! It’s spice, without sacrifice! I’ve gone through bottles already myself in the sampling phase and I stand behind this sauce 100%!! If you love spice, and supporting small business, then this is the one for you! 🌶🍓 For this collab it was easy to come up with the patches. I was able to design the hot sauce label, so we went with the label design for one patch, and of course the classic Spelled version for the second, simply noting the obvious; Ferment! ✍.
BOUTIQUE ANIMATION PATCHES/

People helping people! What more could one ask for?! This special collab came about when the good people at Boutique Animation and Design Studio, in Helsinki, saw the potential of the collabs on other products and reached out about the possiblity of collab-ing with their business, and the rest is history! These people do excellent work in their respected field and as such, we wanted something that reflected that with the products we made. Two very cool designs, using their custom pantones, with some matches thrown in there for good measure!
VHS CREW
Vanhat Herrat Skeittaa, or "VHS" for short, is a like-minded group of 40+ skateboarders who have a passion for skateboarding, to say the least. They have always been huge supporters of The Matchstick Union, and it seemed only fitting to surprise them with this VHS tape-inspired patch. The most recent full-length video, "Gubbett Show" can be found below.
Olarin Panimo, located in Espoo, Finland is one of the most noteable breweries in Finland. With a long list of awards, they asked if we could partner up and make some patches and a label which would end up on the custom Olarin Panimo X Matchstick Union Beer! Easy answer. We tinkered with a couple of different recipes, and in the end we had the FIRST EVER dry-hopped malt liquor, resting at 6,7%ABV. Malt liquor, traditionally where I'm from, is a very cheap and very strong beer; often associated with low class people. I made this label to match that stereotype, but what I did rather than poke fun at these people, I had a campaign along with the good people at VVA RY who help homeless persons with housing and supplies, and I had a raffle where all proceeds went back to the shelter and 15% of all sales on the release date went to them, as well. People helping people.
